Jonathan Jutsen

CEO

Jon has been a leader in energy and carbon management for over 40 years. He was co-founder and led the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity for nearly 10 years as Chair and CEO. He founded and led Energetics for over 20 years plus 10 years focused on innovation, including establishing an energy tech start-up with VC funding which he took to the US and ran for 4 years. He also had a stint on the Board of ARENA (Australian Renewable Energy Agency). He is a Chemical Engineer with a Masters degree in Energy Technology. He was named one of the ‘100 Most Influential Engineers in Australia’, is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Science and Engineering, received a Millennium Medal, and 2018 Energy Efficiency Champion.

Chris Dunstan 

Chief Research Officer

Chris has been active in Australian clean energy policy, programs and research since 1990. Chris was instrumental in developing the NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme (the world’s first carbon trading scheme), Australia’s first Demand Management Code of Practice for Electricity Networks and the NSW Government's Climate Change Fund.  Between 2006 and 2020, Chris was Research Director at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at UTS.  His research focused on decentralized energy, demand management and energy productivity. At UTS, he led many projects, including the Intelligent Grid Research Program, the Australian Decentralised Energy Roadmap, the Electric Driveway research project and Network Opportunity Maps.  Chris’ PhD thesis was entitled: In the Balance: Electricity, Sustainability and Least Cost Competition.

Thushy Sathi

Chief Operating Officer

Thushy has more than 20 years experience in senior management and leadership roles across IT, Education and Not for Profit sectors.

Prior to joining RACE for 2030, Thushy was the CFO of Food Agility CRC.

Thushy held the position of Managing Director of Access Macquarie (subsidiary of Macquarie University) where he launched a number of successful digital platforms including Mindspot, Australia’s first online anxiety clinic. Thushy has also held board positions with Risk Frontiers and Australian Proteome Analysis Foundation. Thushy’s experience also includes senior commercial roles at HP and National ICT Australia.

Thushy is a qualified CPA, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Master of Commerce from Macquarie University.

Gina Kalliris

Marketing Communications Manager

Gina has over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications. She has used her strategic management and collaboration skills to support companies achieve performance efficiencies, growth and a strategy for long term audience engagement. From start-ups to old companies that needed a complete overhaul to boost their profile back in the market. Gina has worked across well-known leading global and local brands in all key industries, in both public and private sectors. Developing strategies with cross-functional teams, using multiple channels, CRMs and digital platforms. Most recently she has worked for NSW Government providing strategic marketing and communications support to various Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability programs.

Frank Zeichner 

Partner Manager

Frank is a thought leader in the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) in Australia and is foundation CEO of the IoT Alliance Australia (IoTAA), the peak Australian Internet of Things industry body, whose mission is to accelerate the adoption of IoT for Australia’s competitiveness and societal benefit through collaboration and sectoral focus including Energy, Transport and Food and Agriculture.

Frank is also Director, External Engagement for the Faculty of Engineering and IT, University of Technology Sydney and Industry Board member of the NSW Smart Sensing Network.

He has over 35 years industry experience across telecommunications, operations, manufacturing, and business consulting in Australia and overseas.

Dani Alexander

RACE for Business Program Leader

Dani is passionate about reshaping our energy system to be clean, affordable, reliable and equitable. She specialises in distributed energy resources to promote energy system flexibility, specifically for Australian businesses.

Dani’s ethos is to give more and take less. She believes in leveraging great ideas and partnerships to build waves of impact.

Dani is also an editorial board member of Ecogeneration magazine, a mother, and an ultimate frisbee athlete.

Mylinh Tran 

Executive Assistant

Mylinh has worked across a ray of sectors and have found her passion in working for non-for-profits. She’s passionate about creating sustainable change and ending world hunger. Mylinh is currently sitting on the Youth Board for The Hunger Project Australia and completing a Bachelor of Nursing at UTS.

Florencia Staiger

Administrator 

Flor has 14 years of experience in Human Resources roles in oil and health sectors in Argentina and the US, managing Learning, Development and Communication processes. She has a Bachelor of Human Resources. Flor is currently completing a Master of Business Administration at UTS.
